Material Handler

Spahn & Rose Lumber, the 2022 LBM Dealer of the Year, has an opening for a Material Handler at our store in Dubuque, IA This position offers a competitive wage and a great benefits package including medical, dental, 401k match, profit sharing, PTO, flex spending, and more!

Responsibilities:

The loading and unloading of trucks safely, efficiently and effectively. Stocking materials as assigned. Build loads for delivery. Driving a vehicle in compliance with safety and DOT regulations. Ensure the customer is always serviced first by providing safe, timely and efficient delivery service of building materials. Operating a fork truck. Check load to ensure it is properly secured and the correct material and amount of material is being delivered before leaving the yard. Keep lumber yard clean, well-organized and safe.

Qualifications:

Must have valid driver's license. Previous warehouse or forklift experience is preferred. Repetitive lifting of up to 35 pounds, 70lbs occasionally and the ability to bend and twist in awkward positions. Basic reading, writing comprehension and math skills required.
