General Position Summary:
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the efficient management of organizational assets, equipment, supplies, and materials. This position oversees inventory tracking, receiving, storage, distribution, and reconciliation activities to support operational needs while maintaining accountability and compliance with established policies and procedures.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment, supplies, materials, and organizational assets. Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness. Process inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, distributions, and disposals. Organize and maintain inventory storage areas to ensure efficient access and accountability. Conduct regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and physical audits to verify inventory accuracy. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and damaged goods. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and inventory control standards. Coordinate with procurement staff and internal departments regarding inventory needs and deliveries. Assist with warehouse operations, including stocking, labeling, packaging, and shipping activities. Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes, efficiency, and asset accountability. Support annual inventory reviews, audits, and asset verification initiatives. Operate inventory management software and other tracking tools to maintain accurate records. Ensure proper handling, storage, and security of inventory and organizational assets. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Perform other related duties as assigned to support organizational operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
The Idaho Courts reserve the right to consider an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience necessary to successfully perform the major responsibilities of the position.
Education and Experience:
Some inventory experience preferred High School Diploma.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge Knowledge of inventory management principles, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of warehouse operations, receiving, storage, and distribution processes. Knowledge of auditing and inventory reconciliation procedures. Knowledge of workplace safety practices related to inventory handling and storage. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures related to asset management and inventory control. Skills Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record bkeeping. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in inventory management software and database systems. Skill in data entry, reporting, and maintaining accurate records. Skill in analyzing inventory data and identifying discrepancies. Customer service skills for supporting internal stakeholders. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Abilities Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and documentation. Ability to perform physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies. Ability to analyze information and make sound decisions regarding inventory control. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, and stakeholders. Ability to learn and adapt to new inventory systems, technologies, and procedures. Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information appropriately. Ability to lift, move, and organize inventory items in accordance with safety guidelines. Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and inventory management standards. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
