Job Summary:
The General Labor position is responsible for performing various tasks in a manufacturing environment. This position is expected to rotate among stations as needed while performing one or more of the job's essential functions. Immediate Openings Day 6:00 am- 2:30 pm Swing 2:00 pm
- 10:30 pm Graveyard 10:00 pm
- 6:30 am Shift Differential Pay Pay $12.50

A General Labor is expected to perform one or more of the following essential job functions based on the business assignment (detailed): Responsible party in supporting the food safety culture of the company.Sorter:
Using hands separate products according to grade, color, and size, and place products in containers, boxes, or on designated conveyors.Packing:
products in boxes, barrels, baskets, cans, totes, or crates for storage or shipment; stock station with packaging materials.Box maker:
make boxes out of corrugated material for the pack-out line.Palletizing:
stacking boxes of finished goods onto palletsDumper:
loading and unloading raw materials into dumping bins and/or manually dumping product directly onto feed conveyors. Preparing Raw Product bins for production dumpers.Labeling:
applying various tags and/or identifying labels to bins, totes, boxes, and different other containers of raw, frozen, or finished products.Safety:
Following health and safety standards.Reporting:
Reporting any issues to the Supervisor or Lead on duty. May be assigned one or more of the following as needed: Handling products that may be in cold/hot temperatures. Pack finished bags into boxes promptly so as not to delay the production process. This requires moving arms back and forth in a forward motion. Lift bags or boxes of a finished product (up to 55 lbs.) during the duration of the shift. Make boxes by lifting and folding the corrugated strips into a box. Responsible for counting and keeping track of products dumped into the hoppers. Safely operate and maintain machinery and production line equipment. Load finished boxes onto the pallets, stacking the boxes from floor level to above head level. This requires using the whole body: bending at the waist, bending at legs/knees while carrying the box and moving arms overhead to place it at the top of the pallet. This requires a lifting ability of 1-55 lbs. and stacking boxes up to 80" high. Reworks finished product and Work in Progress (WIP) as needed. Keep the work area clean and secure, without obstructions for regular transit and/or access to the workplace. Responsible for actively supporting during breaks, meal periods, and other staff coverage as needed. Employees may infrequently be assigned to perform other tasks temporarily. "During the temporary assignment, the employee must maintain compliance with all ZoRoCo's policies but will not be disciplined for productivity- throughput performance.
Qualifications:
Positive attitude, work ethic, and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management and coworkers. Must understand and follow oral and written English and/or Spanish instructions. Must be able to work 6 or more consecutive days, including overtime, any shift, including late nights, weekends, and holidays. Able to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment. Capable of lifting 55 pounds unassisted. Able to work on foot for extended periods.Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; some areas of the manufacturing location could be extremely cold or hot. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high; some areas require noise protection.Pay:
$12.50- $16.
