Job Description

Job Summary SIPC is seeking a reliable, organized, and safety-minded Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for receiving, organizing, and distributing HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical equipment and materials. You will operate a forklift, manage inventory through manual processes, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and transport supplies to job sites as needed. Key Responsibilities Equipment Handling & Movement:
Operate a forklift to safely receive, relocate, and position equipment and materials throughout the warehouse.
Loading & Unloading:
Efficiently load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles using proper lifting techniques and safety protocols.
Inventory Organization:
Maintain a well-organized warehouse using manual (non-digital) inventory management; ensure all materials are properly labeled, stored, and easily accessible at all times.
Warehouse Maintenance:
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and hazard-free; perform routine cleaning and upkeep of work areas and equipment.
Job Site Deliveries:
Transport supplies and equipment to job sites as needed; ensure materials are securely loaded and safely handled at destination.
Heavy Equipment Handling:
Manually lift, carry, and walk heavy equipment and materials to and from designated areas.
Material Knowledge:
Develop and apply a working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical materials to ensure proper handling, identification, and storage.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with team members, communicate proactively, and contribute to a positive and productive warehouse environment.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all company safety policies and procedures; report hazards, damaged equipment, or concerns immediately.
Receiving & Verification:
Confirm incoming shipments against delivery documentation and report discrepancies to management. Required Qualifications Valid driver's license Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test Physically capable of regularly lifting and carrying heavy equipment (50+ lbs) Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods General understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and/or mechanical materials Strong organizational and time management skills Reliable, trustworthy, and accountable Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment Commitment to safety and a clean, organized work environment Preferred Qualifications Previous warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience Forklift certification or prior experience operating material handling equipment Experience in the HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical trades industry Experience with job site deliveries CDL or willingness to obtain one Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding position.
Candidates must be able to:
Regularly lift and carry 50+ pounds Bend, stoop, reach, and twist frequently throughout the workday Stand and walk for extended periods Work in varying temperature conditions (warehouse and outdoor environments) Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment safely Climb stairs or ladders as needed
Compensation & Benefits Hourly Rate:
$15.00 - $18.00/hour based on experience and qualifications
