Job Title:
Warehouse Associate 1st & 2nd Shift Available! $18-$21/hour Job Description The Warehouse Associate works in a fast-paced distribution environment, focusing on order picking, loading and unloading trucks, and handling inventory using forklifts and other material handling equipment. This role supports receiving, production, and distribution operations. Responsibilities Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently throughout the warehouse using scanners and material handling equipment. Load and unload trucks, including operating sit-down and stand-up reach forklifts to move pallets and materials safely. Pull pallets off shelves and transport them to designated staging, shipping, or storage areas. Scan packages, pallets, and inventory to maintain accurate warehouse inventory records. Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including checking in materials, staging outbound shipments, and organizing warehouse inventory. Handle order picking, packing, and material handling tasks as assigned to support daily warehouse operations. Use pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment to move materials and organize product within the facility. Unload trucks by hand when required, including handling light boxes (such as paint brushes), stacking them on pallets, and coordinating pallet movement in and out of trailers. Follow all safety guidelines when operating forklifts, reach trucks, and other equipment, including proper use of required personal protective equipment. Support production and distribution activities by ensuring materials and finished goods are staged and moved on time. Essential Skills Proven ability to operate a stand-up reach forklift safely and effectively (must-have requirement). Experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or distribution environment. Hands-on experience with reach trucks and reach forklifts for moving pallets and materials. Proficiency using handheld scanners for packages, pallets, and inventory tracking. Experience in warehouse inventory processes, including order picking, packing, and material handling. Experience with shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading trucks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
