JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for all aspects of warehousing, including receiving, UPS deliveries, transfer product, cycle counting, sample room requests, order picking and transferring / shipping of product.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE
Assigns storage locations for various materials and finished products under the direction of the Supervisor / Group leader and transfers materials accurately using DSI hand-held scanners. Keeps warehouse clean and organized. Consolidate partial rows by item when necessary. Fully understand how to use DSI system, and hand-held scanner to perform daily tasks. Receives materials accurately in JDE, such as, bottles, cartons, drums, caps, labels, customer returns, and miscellaneous material by unloading the truck, verifying counts and properly filling out receiving paperwork. Receives and delivers UPS packages. Pulls and delivers material to staging areas from job pick lists. Loads trucks with product being transferred to the Distribution Center and outside warehouses under the direction of the Supervisor or Group Leader. Perform accurate cycle counts, weekly and daily as necessary. Pulls and delivers materials for sample room requests. Assemble customer orders accurately, as to quantity and type of material from picking tickets and bills of lading. Prepare orders for shipment in a proper and safe manner for transport. Unload floor loaded containers by hand when needed. Check for damaged or defective product prior to picking and staging / shipping. Load trucks and verify counts. Maintain clean and safe work area by following good housekeeping practices. Keep Group Leader /Supervisor properly informed on progress of assigned tasks. Assist fellow team members as work load dictates. Notes any damage on freight bills when taking in deliveries. Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent. Good communications skills that include the ability to read, write and speak English. Acceptable attendance and performance record. Certified under the Gold Eagle Forklift Training Program or equivalent. Must be responsible for assisting in the day to day operations that could include 10 to 12 hours a day and the possibility of 6 days a week. Overtime for this position is mandatory. Having experience with Scanner type systems a plus
