Warehouse Associate

PrideStaff is seeking a 1st shift Warehouse Associate / Material Handler for a production company located in Woodridge, Illinois 1st shift: 8am - 4:30pm Monday-Friday (40 Hour work weeks)

Pay:

$20/hr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Safely operate a stand-up forklift to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse, adhering to all company policies and procedures. Accurately receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments, verifying quantities and ensuring that all items are in good condition. Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility for efficient retrieval. Pick and pack orders in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining a high level of quality control and attention to detail. Assist in conducting regular inventory counts, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies. Collaborate with team members to improve warehouse efficiency and achieve departmental goals. Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs to the Warehouse Manager. Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance job-related skills and knowledge. Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent. Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification within the probationary period.

STAND-UP FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment, with a focus on forklift operation (stand-up). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow instructions. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications. MUST be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. Experience using an RF Scanner Previous experience with UPS, Fed Ex, and shipping systems
