Job Title:

General Laborer #3r shift: 10pm - 6am $21+ Good long term opportunity in machine operation Job Description The General Laborer supports high-speed packaging and corrugated manufacturing operations in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility. This role focuses on safely assisting machine operators, handling materials, maintaining a clean work area, and contributing to efficient, high-quality production in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Aid and assist machine operators by bringing materials to the equipment in a timely and organized manner. Work with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced production environment while consistently following all safety procedures. Limit scrap and material waste by monitoring production, collecting scrap when the scrap truck is full, and delivering it to the appropriate department. Accurately tag scrap and waste materials for reporting and tracking purposes. Perform basic inspection of materials and products to help ensure quality standards are met. Support machine set up and changeover activities as directed by machine operators or supervisors. Help with machine operating tasks as needed, following established procedures and guidelines. Sweep floors, remove garbage, and perform other minor janitorial tasks to maintain a clean and orderly work area. Package and label products correctly in a high-speed packaging environment. Use a measuring tape, ruler, and basic shop math to verify dimensions and support accurate production. Follow all facility safety rules, including proper use of personal protective equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
