Production Associate - Material Handler (2nd Shift) Upper Deck Staffing - 1.0 Elk Grove Village, IL Job Details Full-time From $21 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Life insurance Paid sick time Qualifications Moving English Forklift Dimensional measurements Precision measurement in machining Milling Materials handling Pallet jack Full Job Description Monday-Friday, 2:00PM- 10:30PM Responsibilities Help prepare machinery and equipment for operation by setting up components, tools, and materials according to instructions provided by the machine operator or supervisor. Aid machine operators in operating equipment by performing tasks such as loading materials, feeding components into machinery, and monitoring the production process to ensure smooth operation. Inspect finished products to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications, reporting any defects or issues to the machine operator or supervisor promptly. Assist in cleaning machinery and work areas regularly to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Notify maintenance staff of any mechanical problems or abnormalities observed during operation. Manage raw materials and finished products by transporting them to and from designated storage areas using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and participate in safety training as required. Record production data, including quantities produced, downtime, and any quality issues encountered, accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain production logs and reports as directed. Collaborate effectively with machine operators, supervisors, and other team members to achieve production targets and resolve any issues that may arise during the manufacturing process. Qualifications Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers for precise measurements in a manufacturing environment. Experience in operating tube mill machinery. Ability to read blueprints, perform quality inspections, and utilize precision measuring instruments. Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining processes. Prior experience with forklift operation and other relevant skills such as fabrication and sheet metal work are advantageous
