MATERIAL
HANDLER IN FRANKLIN ARK, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Material Handler to join our team in Franklin Park, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient movement, storage, and control of raw materials, components, and finished goods within the facility to support the production of low and medium voltage electrical switchgear cabinets and power distribution platforms. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated ability to operate a dolly, pallet jack, carts, and other standard warehouse equipment, basic computer skills, and more listed below. Pay, Schedule, and Location Starting at $20/hour Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision Multiple shifts Located in Franklin Park, Illinois Duties and Responsibilities Load and unload inbound and outbound cargo from trucks using pallet jacks, dollies, carts, and other warehouse equipment. Receive, verify, unpack, and stock incoming raw materials and components against documentation. Line-feed the assembly floor by retrieving and delivering parts to manufacturing work cells to maintain steady material flow, managing Work-in-Process (WIP) issuance and consumption. Maintain accurate inventory stock levels and participate in routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits. Adhere to plant-wide material control processes, including Kanban replenishment and backflushing workflows. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and production footprint by applying lean 5S principles. Ensure proper protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times and tools or other equipment are properly used based on the task. Regular in-person attendance is an essential function of this job.
Requirements and Qualifications Equipment Knowledge:
Demonstrated ability to operate a dolly, pallet jack, carts, and other standard warehouse equipment; forklift experience is a strong plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
Basic computer skills are required. Previous experience or familiarity with automated ERP systems (such as Job Scope) or inventory management software (such as Fishbowl) is highly preferred.
Language Skills:
Must be able to read, write, and converse fluently in English at a level of competency that enables effective workplace communication. Examples of tasks requiring English fluency include participating in department huddles and collaborating with production teams, engineers, and project managers.
Core Traits:
Must be a team player, demonstrate good attendance, and possess a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Physical Demands:
While performing duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, and climb ladders. Long periods of walking and standing are required.
Lifting:
Employees must routinely lift and/or move heavy materials up to 50 pounds repetitively without assistance.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. This work environment features varying and sometimes extreme temperatures (hot or cold weather conditions) depending on the season. — (Salary range based on experience) —
