Western Smokehouse Partners is looking for a Warehouse Team Member. The Warehouse Team Member supports daily warehouse operations by aiding in the safe, efficient handling of incoming and outgoing materials. Responsibilities include preparing shipments, operating powered industrial trucks (PITs), maintaining accurate documentation, and performing quality checks. Under supervision, this role will be trained to operate forklifts, electric jacks, and lifts to support a streamlined and safe logistics process. Essential Duties Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments, verifying condition and accuracy of product and packaging. Wrap, weigh, and prepare pallets for shipping according to customer and internal specifications. Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and other PITs safely and effectively (training provided if needed). Maintain accurate shipping and receiving paperwork, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, and internal records. Ensure all cases are lot-coded correctly and product is put away on the same day it is received. Assist with picking and packing orders based on daily fulfillment requirements. Perform quality control checks on shipments to ensure accuracy, labeling, and product integrity. Maintain clean, safe, and organized warehouse and dock areas. Support cross-training initiatives within the Packaging and Processing departments Assist with month-end inventory counts and routine inventory spot checks, including RTE (Ready-To-Eat) products. Label, scan, and store products using inventory and traceability systems (e.g., Vista Trac). Communicate any discrepancies or issues with received goods to supervisor or QA department. Perform other related duties as assigned to support shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or shipping/receiving preferred but not required. Willingness to operate forklifts and other powered equipment (certification/training provided). Basic math, reading, and documentation skills. Ability to follow safety protocols and operate in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to take initiative when needed. Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Work is performed in warehouse and dock areas with exposure to temperature changes and varying noise levels. Regular use of powered industrial trucks and other warehouse equipment. Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas.
