This role ensures materials and equipment are accurately processed and distributed to support all company service lines, including electrical construction, medium voltage distribution, fire alarm services, low‑voltage installations, and integrated security solutions. The Warehouse Specialist ensures materials are handled safely, stored properly, and delivered efficiently to meet project timelines and field requirements.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & TRAINING
High School diploma or GED. 2+ years of warehouse or logistics experience, preferably in construction or industrial environments. Ability to operate forklifts and material‑handling equipment (certification preferred or ability to obtain). Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Ability to lift and move materials as required up to 50lbs. Familiarity with electrical construction materials, conduit, wire, panels, switchgear, fire alarm components, low‑voltage devices, and security equipment (preferred). Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (preferred). Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced warehouse environment. Foundational computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips, labeling and storing materials in designated locations. Identify and report damaged or incorrect shipments while assisting with unloading trucks and operating material‑handling equipment. Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse management or ERP systems, performing cycle counts and supporting physical inventory audits. Track high‑value electrical equipment and components, reporting discrepancies and supporting corrective actions. Pick, stage, and kit materials for job site deliveries, verifying quantities and specifications before dispatch. Prepare materials for transport to prevent damage and coordinate with warehouse leadership to prioritize urgent requests. Assist with loading delivery vehicles in an organized and secure manner, supporting routing efficiency and timely shipment preparation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment while following company safety policies and OSHA guidelines. Properly store materials, including sensitive or high‑value equipment, and report safety concerns promptly.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Regularly required to lift and/or move objects 10-50 pounds. The job requires the use of hands, arms and back throughout the workday. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use arms, hands and back to accomplish required tasks. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
