Job Description

The warehouseman is responsible for the receiving and storage of all food donations that come into the food pantry. This is done through direct service as well as supervising teams of volunteers as they assist with food donations as they arrive.
Duties:
Unload deliveries of food items that are delivered throughout the week Sort incoming donations into frozen, refrigerated, and dry goods and store them accordingly. Supervise teams of volunteers as they sort, repackage, or otherwise process food items throughout the week. Maintain an organizational system so that stock is rotated appropriately. Prep the warehouse for the Saturday distribution by selecting and arranging pallets that provide a well rounded selection of food items. Manage the flow of operations Saturday prior to Saturday distribution as items are pulled from coolers, freezers, and sorted. Maintain a warehouse environment that meets all health department and other applicable regulations to remain compliant with contractual requirements. Schedule is semi variant but an example is as follows:
