Job Title:
Material Handler Job Description The role of a Material Handler involves using computer systems and handling related documentation to efficiently manage materials. Candidates will fill liquids and powders into tanks, using scales for accurate measurements. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and may involve operating a forklift to move products around the production floor. Responsibilities include selecting appropriate tanks based on manufacturing requirements, scanning raw materials for lot number and quantity accuracy, and packing orders according to sales order specifications. Compliance with GMP and safety guidelines is essential, and candidates should be open to cross-training and assisting in different departments. 1st shift: 4am-230pm Mon-Thurs - lot of overtime 2nd shift: 2pm-1230am Mon-Thurs - lot of overtime weekend shift: 5am-6pm Fri-Sun Essential Skills Experience in receiving products using a forklift—stand up and sit down. (Cherry picker) Ability to retrieve raw materials from the warehouse to the compounding area. Proficiency in using ERP and handheld barcode scanners. Experience in returning raw materials to the warehouse after usage. Conduct cycle counting on raw materials. Experience in warehouse settings or logistics, with material handling equipment preferred. Forklift operation and safety training. Respirator protection and lock-out training. GMP experience. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in compounding/blending/batching/machine operating in food or GMP environments. Attention to detail when reviewing batch records. Comfortable working in GMP environments with exposure to smells. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a GMP food manufacturing setting, requiring adherence to safety and hygiene standards, including the use of full beard nets and hair nets. Shift options include 1st shift from 4am0230pm, 2nd shift from 230pm-1230am Monday to Thursday, and weekend shifts from Friday to Sunday, 5 am to 6 pm. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
