Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for safely moving, organizing, and managing materials throughout the stockroom using various equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools. This role requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, reliability and a strong commitment to safety and productivity.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate sit-down forklifts and electric pallet jacks to move materials and products as required. Organize and store inventory in designated stockroom locations, using proper storage methods. Prepare orders for shipment, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging materials. Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately. Follow all safety protocols and stockroom procedures to ensure a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 3 years of experience operating a sit down forklift Valid forklift operator certification is preferred Proficiency operating other warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks. Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods. Basic computer skills for inventory and tracking purposes. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet productivity targets. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
