Job Description

Job Title:
Stocker Job Description This role focuses on accurately stocking, picking, and organizing parts based on work orders while maintaining a clean and safe work area. You will use a computer-based database to locate parts, visually inspect materials for quality, and support general inventory activities in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Read work orders carefully and pull the correct parts according to the instructions on the sheet. Navigate the parts database to identify and locate items efficiently within the facility. Use basic computer skills to access, review, and update inventory and work order information. Verify part numbers and follow documented procedures to ensure accuracy in all transactions. Process paperwork accurately, including documenting parts pulled, stocked, or assembled. Visually inspect materials and parts to identify defects, damage, or other quality issues. Assemble parts when needed according to instructions and quality standards. Perform general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean, organized, and safe. Support stocking, inventory, picking, cycle counts, and order picking as required. Handle general labor tasks related to parts inventory and material handling. Essential Skills Strong attention to detail to accurately read work orders, verify part numbers, and process paperwork. Ability to navigate and use a computer-based database for locating and tracking parts. Basic computer skills to perform daily tasks such as searching inventory and updating records. Experience or comfort with stocking, inventory, picking, cycle counts, and order picking. Ability to perform general labor tasks in a manufacturing or warehouse setting. Consistent work history demonstrating good job tenure and reliability. Ability to visually inspect materials and identify flaws or defects. Capability to perform light assembly work as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior inventory experience is a plus. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position operates on a first shift schedule, typically from 6:55 a.m. to 3:55 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some 10-hour workdays may be required, with at least one week of advance notice. Occasional Saturday work may also be needed, with scheduling communicated a week ahead of time. You will work in a manufacturing or warehouse setting that involves stocking, inventory, picking, cycle counts, and order picking, using computers and a parts database as part of your daily tasks. The environment requires regular movement, general labor, and housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Elkhart, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.20 - $19.20/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
