Warehouse Operator

Summary:

Receives goods, maintains inventory, requests materials and supplies when needed, maintains clean and organized warehouse

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code Check in materials from suppliers Supplies cutting department with material requests and assists in cutting when necessary Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed and maintains inventory records Ensures load and all items being shipped are properly strapped and secured Loads and unloads truck which includes the use of a pallet jack and / or lift truck Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments Dumps trash hopper in dumpster and breaks down boxes for recycling Communicates regularly with Purchasing Dept. to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained Other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 1+ years related experience and/or training Competencies To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Quantity
