Warehouse Laborer

Responsibilities Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, hand carts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse. Assist with inventory management by conducting regular stock counts, updating inventory control systems, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Support order picking and packing activities using order picker equipment and manual methods to fulfill customer orders efficiently. Handle shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting packages for damage, and documenting transactions accurately. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by stocking shelves, organizing materials, and adhering to safety standards. Operate mechanical tools and equipment with mechanical knowledge to support manufacturing or construction-related tasks when necessary. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize distribution processes and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Qualifications Prior experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts. Knowledge of inventory management systems for accurate stock control. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods. Familiarity with safety standards and best practices for materials handling and warehouse operations. Mechanical aptitude or construction experience is advantageous for supporting maintenance tasks. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to support shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and stock management activities.
