Job Description
Job Overview Bio Town Seeds is a multi-generational family seed processing company, serving grain farmers for over 90 years. We specialize in soybean and wheat seed processing along with wheat and small seed sales. Bio Town Seeds is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse/Production Associate to join our team. This position will work closely with other production team members to clean, treat, store, package, and ship our seed while maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, a critical thinker with problem-solving skills, maintain a positive attitude be performance-driven, and can work in a team environment. This candidate will also have work experience in warehouse or loading dock operations. Farming and or agricultural experience highly recommended. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with various tools and equipment used in a manufacturing facility and on a farm. This is a day shift position. Monday through Friday, and some Saturdays as needed Duties Operation of grain moving equipment and seed processing equipment. Unload/load grain bins and semi-trucks. Operation of some farm equipment. Movement of seed as required for filing orders while maintaining quality standards. Utilize forklifts to move materials and products safely within the warehouse environment. Maintenance of various equipment. Bagging and stacking seed orders. Perform routine inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines effectively. Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies. Requirements Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing facility is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various power tools and hand tools effectively. Experience in agriculture with a Class A CDL is preferred, but not required. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Physical stamina to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods during shifts.
