General Laborer Job Description This contract role offers the opportunity to support daily operations in a production plant and warehouse environment through hands-on general labor and janitorial work. You will spend most of your shift on your feet performing tasks such as labeling products, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with various labor-intensive activities that keep the facility safe, organized, and running smoothly. Responsibilities Stand and work on your feet for approximately 8 hours per day in a production and warehouse environment. Label products accurately with product names and hazard labels according to established guidelines. Perform daily janitorial duties, including cleaning floors, removing debris, and maintaining overall facility cleanliness. Scrape glue and other residues from floors and surfaces to keep work areas safe and presentable. Pick up trash throughout the warehouse and plant areas and dispose of it properly. Sweep floors and common areas regularly to support a clean and orderly plant. Assist with painting tasks within the plant as needed, following instructions and safety practices. Support general labor, packaging, and production activities as directed by supervisors. Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment while performing assigned tasks. Maintain consistent attendance and reliable work habits throughout the contract period. Essential Skills Ability to stand and work on your feet for an 8-hour shift. Comfort working in a labor-intensive, hands-on environment. Ability to clean floors and perform general janitorial tasks. Willingness to perform tasks that may involve getting dirty, such as scraping glue and handling trash. Experience or familiarity with warehouse, packaging, production, general labor, or general production work. Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a plant and warehouse setting. Reliable work history and consistent tenure in previous roles. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience with product labeling or warehouse operations is a plus. Prior janitorial or facility cleaning experience is beneficial. Experience in general production or packaging environments is an advantage. Comfort using basic cleaning tools and supplies and performing light painting tasks. Why Work Here?
