Job Description

Job Summary To Apply for this Job Click Here A growing steel manufacturing company is hiring a Material Handler to support production operations on a day shift schedule. This is a hands-on role responsible for moving raw materials, receiving incoming inventory, supplying production equipment, and helping keep manufacturing operations running efficiently. If you have overhead crane experience, enjoy staying active throughout your shift, and want to be part of a stable manufacturing environment, we'd like to speak with you. This position is located in Bluffton, IN.
Material Handler Benefits & Compensation:
Starting pay: $18.20/hour
Day Shift:
Monday-Thursday 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM Consistent schedule with three-day weekends Friday overtime available Stable manufacturing environment Opportunity to expand skills and grow within operations
Material Handler Requirements & Qualifications:
Previous overhead crane operating experience Material handling experience within a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to operate forklifts, lift trucks, or similar industrial equipment Ability to lift up to 90 pounds with assistance when required Ability to climb onto truck beds to safely load and unload materials Ability to work safely around heavy steel, moving equipment, and production machinery Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Material Handler Preferred Background & Skills:
Steel manufacturing experience Shipping and receiving experience Inventory control experience Experience working in metal stamping or press environments Experience using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, or other measuring equipment Experience verifying material certifications and production documentation Forklift certification or extensive forklift operating experience
