Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking laborer to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process, contributing to the assembly and fabrication of products while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Shift 6PM to 6AM (M-Thurs) Duties Inspect finished product for height, shape, color, and consistency. Perform quality checks and remove defective pieces as needed. Rework/replace blocks to ensure every pallet is customer-ready. Package finished product. Keep all products packaged neatly, safely, and securely. Assist with production support tasks such as pallet repair, general maintenance support, yard support, and other assigned tasks to keep production moving. Maintain a clean work area and support plant clean-up. Follow all safety practices including PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures. Physical Requirements The employee must frequently transport and move items up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Must be able to closely inspect materials and products. Employee must be able to identify color blends, variances, non-conforming color blends with up to three different colors on each product. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, talk or hear. Qualifications Be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence. Be able to write simple correspondence and/or memos. Be able to work collaboratively communicating actual shop floor issues etc. Have the knowledge, skill, and/or ability to operate machinery, not Machine Operators. Be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide Be able to reason and apply common sense. Be able to work individually and in a team environment Be able to multitask #
