Material Handler/Forklift Driver $21.53/hour Job Description The Material Handler safely operates forklifts and related equipment to move, store, and track materials within a production facility. This role supports inventory accuracy, production efficiency, and product quality by performing daily inspections, managing material flow, and maintaining organized storage locations on a 3rd shift schedule. Responsibilities Work 3rd shift hours from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., including overtime as assigned. Perform daily inspections and routine care of forklift equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and relocate materials as needed. Update location sheets to accurately reflect material locations, including when systems are unavailable. Locate materials and place them into inventory according to established procedures and location documentation. Perform cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies. Pull materials from inventory to fulfill work orders in a timely and accurate manner. Essential Skills High school education or equivalent. At least 6 months of previous forklift experience. Valid lift truck license or the ability to attain certification within required timelines. Ability to lift 35 pounds on a continual basis throughout the shift. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a production facility that maintains a clean environment and follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). You will primarily work on 3rd shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with the expectation of working overtime as needed. The position involves frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping throughout the shift, as well as continual lifting of up to 35 pounds. You will regularly operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move materials for Inventory, Production, Shipping, and Quality Control. The facility emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and adherence to established procedures, with a structured, team-based atmosphere focused on quality and efficiency. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Lawrence, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.53 - $21.53/hr.
