Material Handler 19/Hour URGENT

Job Title:

Material Handler Job Description This role focuses on operating a sit-down Drexel forklift to move, stage, and prepare materials for shipment in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. You will spend most of your day on a forklift, supporting efficient warehouse operations by pulling orders, unloading trucks, and wrapping pallets while maintaining a safe and organized work area. Responsibilities Operate a sit-down Drexel forklift safely and efficiently for approximately 70% of the workday. Pull customer orders accurately and stage them at the dock in preparation for shipment. Unload incoming trucks and move materials to designated storage or production areas. Wrap pallets securely to ensure product stability and protection during transport. Handle materials, inventory, and products with care to prevent damage and maintain quality standards. Work off the forklift as needed to pick orders, organize inventory, and assist with general warehouse tasks. Lift and move items up to 40 lbs as part of daily material handling activities. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in alignment with facility standards. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines related to forklift operation and warehouse activities. Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing facility that is climate controlled, clean, and well organized. You will primarily operate a sit-down Drexel forklift, which offers unique maneuverability compared to standard forklifts, and you will also perform manual material handling tasks off the forklift. The work involves regular lifting of up to 40 lbs and active movement throughout the warehouse. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
