Material Handler - Overnight Shift Focus Workforce Management - 2.9 Olathe, KS Job Details Full-time $19 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Warehouse management system Warehouse experience Materials handling Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler for the overnight shift to join our dynamic warehouse team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of materials within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety standards. As a key player in our logistics operations, you will contribute to maintaining smooth shipping and receiving processes, supporting overall warehouse productivity. Responsibilities Load and unload materials using heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and cranes, adhering to safety protocols. Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to accurately track inventory movements. Perform order picking using pickers and ensure precise selection for shipping orders. Handle heavy lifting tasks safely, utilizing pallet jacks and other mechanical tools. Manage shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse environment to promote safety and efficiency. Conduct routine inspections of equipment like forklifts and cranes, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards. Assist in inventory counts, stock replenishment, and materials handling tasks as needed. Support warehouse supervisors in daily operations and process improvements related to heavy equipment operation.
Night Shift:
Monday - Thursday 6p-6a Experience Prior experience in warehouse distribution or materials handling is highly preferred. Proven ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanner technology. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations. Experience with shipping & receiving procedures, order picking, and load & unload activities. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse setting is a plus. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and repetitive movements. Construction or industrial background involving heavy equipment operation is advantageous.
