TITLE:
Material Handler
C POSITION OBJECTIVE
Efficiently handle and manage the receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution of materials in accordance with organizational standards and operational requirements.
Eight-hour shift:
6pm-6am $15.00 starting pay with a shift differential bonus of $2.00 more per hour with weekly perfect attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS
A High School diploma or equivalent Legal eligibility to work in the US. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of personnel Proficiency in reading and writing English. Previous warehouse experience with the operation of a Forklift and electric pallet jack preferred. Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude for machines used in the production process. Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary. Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Complies with monitors and enforces all written and verbal safety regulations and programs of the plant and department. Pass all required training to safely operate forklift and load hogs. Understand and adhere to plant policies and procedures. Ability to accurately count and record all types of materials
  • finished goods, raw materials, rollstock and scrap.
Position requires accurate entries of information via handheld scanners. Process work orders, documents number of units handled, interpret verbal instructions to determine tasks, and transmit data for invoicing. Stages finished product in proper locations within the warehouse. Moves freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers by hand or by using electric pallet trucks, forklifts, and other equipment. Proficient in use of Warehouse Location Management System and can operate scanners efficiently and accurately to perform maintenance move operations to ensure maximum storage locations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION
The warehouse is not climate controlled. Must be able to work in an environment that is extremely hot, humid in the summer months and cold in the winter months.
