Job Description

Temporary - Warehouse Receiving Clerk 1st Shift The Warehouse Receiving Clerk manages incoming shipments and materials to ensure accurate inventory and efficient warehouse operations. This position involves inspecting deliveries, maintaining inventory records, organizing products, and working closely with warehouse staff, vendors, and drivers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities Receive and process incoming shipments and deliveries in a timely manner Inspect products for damage, shortages, and discrepancies upon arrival Verify shipment contents against purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips Accurately enter and update inventory information within warehouse management systems Label, sort, and organize materials and products for proper storage Communicate with vendors, delivery drivers, and warehouse team members regarding shipment or delivery concerns Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving and storage area Follow all company safety guidelines, warehouse procedures, and operational protocols Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and inventory control processes Document and report damaged, missing, or incorrect items received Coordinate movement of materials to storage, production, or shipping departments as needed Skills & Qualifications Basic computer, inventory system, and data entry skills Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy Knowledge of warehouse and inventory control procedures Ability to manage time effectively and work collaboratively with a team Strong communication and organizational skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying activity levels and deadlines Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
