Duties Help You will collect fuel samples from tankers, bulk storage tanks, fill stands, nozzles, mobile refuelers, filters, and separors to conduct on site visual tests in accordance with current Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) instructions. You will opere pumps with fixed flow res and take the temperure of fuels various different levels. You will make safety checks on carbon dioxide equipment and electrical ground/ bonding cables. You will opere the vehicle's auxiliary pumping system to dispense fuel which includes reguling the pumping pressure and the re of fuel flow which varies with each type of aircraft being serviced. You will serve on quick response for oil spills, tank ruptures, and leaks from barges, or other types of petroleum pollution. You will perform daily operor maintenance and conduct daily inspection on the assigned vehicle to identify loose parts, worn tires, etc. You will inspect and perform preventive maintenance of vehicle's petroleum handling equipment. You required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. You required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirors and safety shoes continuously for the durion of the work shift. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentive offer of employment rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You subject to random testing. Must tend the Airfield Vehicle operor Indoctrinion Course (AVOIC) on an annual basis and maintain airfield vehicle operor's license. Must POSSESS and be able to maintain a valid ste driver's license and base driving privileges. Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, he, ionizing and non-ionizing radiion and chemicals). You required to participe in medical surveillance programs. Subject to a roting seven-day-a-week, two-shifts-per-day schedule and may be required to rote on all shifts. May be required to work overtime. Must successfully complete mandory training requirements for this position. Be able to drive and opere tank trucks to refuel/defuel aircraft and generors. Opere tank farm systems to receive, store, and issue gasoline, fuel oils, jet fuels, and various petroleum products. Must be able to read and comprehend printed regulions, detailed written orders, training instructions, merial manuals, and compose reports to complete assignments safely and convey informion completely.
