Job Description

Summary:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for managing, tracking, and organizing all materials, tools, and equipment entering or leaving the facility. This includes inventory control, receiving, labeling, and ensuring the timely distribution of parts to designated locations, service techs, or customers. By tracking inventory accurately, the Warehouse Associate helps prevent unnecessary reordering and ensures each vessel or customer receives their orders promptly. Quality checks are also part of this role to confirm that only suitable items are processed further.
Essential Job Functions:
Keep track of all incoming and outgoing materials, tools, and equipment. Accurately input received parts into QuickBooks. Label parts with part numbers and organize them on designated shelves. Clear parts from inventory once they are used or delivered. Track parts borrowed by service techs and document their destinations. Prepare customer orders for shipment or delivery. Prioritize tasks based on service and shipping dates to ensure timely processing. Coordinate the shipment and receiving of parts and equipment using various shipping companies. Communicate part arrivals to relevant departments (e.g., alert the Services, Purchasing, Operations, and Production departments). Provide departments with updates on received parts pertinent to their operations. Maintain effective communication with the service department and sales teams regarding parts designation and availability.
Competencies:
Basic computer skills, including QuickBooks for inventory management. Ability to organize files and maintain accurate records. Strong time-management and multitasking abilities. Effective communication skills to coordinate with departments. Attention to detail and efficiency when entering information quickly and accurately.
Educational & Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent Entry-level position with basic familiarity in warehousing or inventory management preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to move around within the office setting and warehouse. Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times. Must be able to access various departments of a given location. Must be able to effectively communicate with team members, vendors, and other stakeholders, both in person and through digital communication platforms. Ability to climb stairs and ladders as necessary for job duties.
