About the
Role:
The Warehouse Person plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of warehouse activities, directly impacting the supply chain and overall business performance. This position involves receiving, storing, and distributing materials, products, and equipment in a timely and organized manner. The Warehouse Person is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that all goods are handled safely and securely. Collaboration with team members and other departments is essential to coordinate shipments and meet delivery schedules. Ultimately, this role supports the seamless flow of goods from suppliers to customers, contributing to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds regularly. Basic math and reading skills to accurately process orders and inventory data. Prior experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not mandatory. Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software. Familiarity with safety standards such as OSHA regulations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors. Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime or weekends if needed.
Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists. Organize and store inventory in designated locations to maximize space and accessibility. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards and customer requirements. Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and data entry into warehouse management systems. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in loading and unloading trucks and coordinate with logistics personnel to schedule shipments. Report any discrepancies, damages, or issues with inventory or equipment to supervisors promptly.

Forklift operation and equipment handling skills ensure efficient movement of goods within the warehouse while maintaining safety standards.
