Perform material handling and machine/equipment operation duties in a safe and efficient manner to fulfill customer orders and business requirements.
Ensure machine and equipment is operating properly. Complete orders safely, accurately, timely and without damage. Inspect materials, products, machinery, tools and equipment.
Assist with inventory management activities including daily updates to the ERP system.
Use of PPE as required (safety glasses, gloves, sleeves, steel/composite toe shoes).Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation.
Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment in a safe and responsible mannerLoad and unload materials from machines, trucks, trailers, and storage locationsTransport raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to designated areasVerify materials against paperwork, labels, or system recordsStage materials for production, shipping, or storagePerform Daily basic equipment inspections and report mechanical issuesFollow all safety rules, traffic patterns, and OSHA requirementsMaintain a clean and organized work areaAssist with inventory counts and material audits as neededAssist in other areas/departments as directed/assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferredValid forklift certification or ability to obtain certificationPrevious forklift or warehouse experience preferredAbility to read work instructions, labels, and shipping documentsStrong attention to safety and accuracyAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environmentPhysical and Work Environment RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waistUse of PPE as required (safety glasses, gloves, sleeves, steel/composite toe shoes).Work performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.

6914 Hwy 2, Oak Grove, LA 71263This is a position with the potential overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.
