Full Job Description Rate:

$16 - $18 per hour (Pay based on experience and skill set.) Sports South is looking for a motivated, hard-working applicant to join our team! •Forklift experience is required for this role.•

Day Shift:

Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5

PM Key Responsibilities:

Material Handling:

Transport goods and materials to and from designated storage areas, loading docks, and production lines using a forklift.

Loading/Unloading:

Safely load and unload goods from trucks or pallets, ensuring items are properly secured and balanced.

Inventory Management:

Move materials based on inventory needs, keeping track of what is being moved and where it is placed.

Storage & Stacking:

Organize goods in a safe, efficient manner by stacking them according to height and weight restrictions, and ensuring easy access for retrieval.

Safety Compliance:

Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents, such as checking the condition of the forklift before use, wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE), and operating the forklift with caution in high-traffic areas.

Equipment Maintenance:

Perform routine checks on the forklift (e.g., fluid levels, tire pressure) and report any mechanical issues to maintenance staff.

Documentation:

Keep records of material movements, including inventory logs, shipping or receiving forms, and any damage reports.

Collaboration:

Work closely with warehouse staff, managers, and other team members to ensure efficient operations and smooth workflow.

Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older and able to pass a STRICT national background check and drug screen in accordance with local and federal laws Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and stock management Open to job flexibility and willingness to cross train in other areas Capable of being on your feet for an 8 hour shift and lifting up to 50 pounds Displays strong communication and time management skills Must have reliable transportation Must have forklift experience
