Job Description

Material Handler#26-11952 Chelsea, MA All On-site Job Description The Material Handler I is responsible for supporting the movement, handling, and storage of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods in a cGMP manufacturing environment. This entry-level role focuses on accurate material handling, basic inventory tasks, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse. II. Essential Functions
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials for accuracy and damage.
  • Store materials in designated warehouse locations following established procedures.
  • Pick, stage, and deliver materials to internal departments as requested.
  • Assist with maintaining warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety compliance.
  • Perform basic inventory activities such as cycle counts and stock checks.
  • Accurately complete required documentation and perform data entry in inventory systems.
  • Support packaging and preparation of materials for internal movement or shipment.
  • Uses material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, and forklifts, to move materials.
  • Follow all company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and cGMP requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and support other warehouse activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
III.
Position Requirements Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Associate's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a GMP, FDA-regulated, biotechnology environment is preferred.
  • Fork lift experience required; valid fork lift license preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices; Kan Ban, JIT, FEFO preferred.
Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
  • Mathematical skills including the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Demonstrates appropriate safety consciousness. Follow Environmental, Health and Safety rules/regulations and report any workplace incidents, injuries or accidents immediately.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail; sense of urgency; deadline driven
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
