Hingham, MA 02043 Job Description We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dockhand to join our team in Hingham, MA. The ideal candidate will assist with the daily operations of our dock, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of boats and equipment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Assist with docking and undocking boats safely and efficiently. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of docks, boats, and equipment. Load and unload supplies and equipment as needed. Secure boats using lines, fenders, and other equipment. Monitor dock area for safety hazards and report any issues promptly. Assist customers with boat launching and retrieval. Operate dock equipment such as forklifts or cranes, if trained and certified. Follow all safety protocols and company policies. Qualifications Previous experience working on docks, marinas, or in a similar role preferred but not required. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Basic knowledge of boat handling and marine equipment is a plus. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Valid driver's license.
