Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Temporary Moving and Assembly Helper, providing essential support for furniture relocation and assembly tasks over a two-day period. This role is perfect for energetic individuals who enjoy physical work, teamwork, and contributing to smooth moving operations. A truck is helpful, and two motivated team members are needed to ensure efficient and safe handling of furniture, including bunk beds. This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in logistics, assembly, and materials handling within a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist with moving furniture items, including heavy and bulky pieces such as bunk beds, ensuring safe handling throughout the process Collaborate with team members to load and unload furniture from trucks or storage areas using appropriate equipment like pallet jacks or clamp trucks if available Assemble bunk beds and other furniture items accurately according to provided instructions or specifications Follow safety protocols during all moving and assembly activities, utilizing OSHA guidelines and mechanical knowledge to prevent injuries Use basic warehouse equipment such as order pickers, RF scanners, forklifts, or heavy equipment if certified or trained to do so Maintain organization of materials and tools needed for assembly and moving tasks Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate efforts and ensure timely completion of tasks Skills Prior experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or construction environments is highly beneficial Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during furniture moving activities Mechanical aptitude for assembling bunk beds and related furniture components Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, or forklift operation is a plus Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to materials handling and heavy equipment operation Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately Physical stamina and agility to perform repetitive lifting, bending, and moving tasks over extended periods This role is ideal for proactive individuals eager to contribute in a physically engaging environment while developing valuable skills in logistics, assembly, and warehouse operations. All work performed is paid, emphasizing the importance of safety, efficiency, and teamwork throughout the project.
