We are currently looking for a full time Assistant Shipper/receiver. This position reports to the Factory Manager. This is a Full Time Position.
Responsibilities Include:
Assemble pack goods to be shipped, and attach packing slips Pick and pack orders for delivery, loading and unloading trucks Properly pack and label outgoing shipments Make arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer's purchase order Receive materials and confirm against packing slips Examine incoming shipments, and reject any damaged items Record shortages and report damages Handle all incoming and outgoing paperwork Maintain relationships with
UPS, UPS
WorldShip, and any other relevant shipping contacts. Other duties as required
Qualifications:
Must be organized with attention to detail Must be fork truck certified Good communication skills Work well independently, as well as part of a team Job involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting Must be able to lift 25 lbs High School diploma or GED required Computer literacy is necessary; with proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems, preferred. Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods Must have reliable transportation Experience with ERP systems in relation to shipping and receiving duties required. Requires basic reading, writing and math skills. English (Required) United States (Required)
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Able to perform various physical activities such as heavy lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 50 lbs Able to stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods of time Able to twist, bend, reach at elevated and ground levels
