Job Description
Description Warehouse Associates are key members of the Facilities and Operations teams, supporting daily warehouse operations, material handling, job preparation, and facility upkeep. This role is hands on, highly collaborative, and varies by branch based on local needs, staffing, and workflow. Core Responsibilities Warehouse Operations & Material Handling Receive, unload, and store materials using appropriate equipment (manual handling, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) Maintain organized, clearly labeled inventory locations Assist with interbranch material transfers and internal material movement Support accurate physical inventory through proper handling and documentation in accordance with SOPs Maintain clear aisles, staging areas, and safe work zones Remove pallets, scrap materials, and waste as needed Job Preparation Responsibilities Identify inefficiencies or inaccuracies in process and Kaizen them with the Facility Manager Residential Job Preparation Prepare materials for upcoming residential installations following branch specific processes Pull, stage, palletize, and clearly label residential materials prior to installation Assist with light prefabrication of residential components as needed Support daily truck loadouts for residential crews Identify missing, damaged, or incorrect materials and communicate issues promptly Maintain organized residential staging areas to support efficient installs Commercial Job Preparation Prepare materials for upcoming commercial projects in coordination with branch operations teams Pull, stage, palletize, and clearly label commercial materials according to project requirements Assist with commercial specific prefabrication tasks as needed Support accurate BOM execution and material readiness prior to project start Maintain organized commercial staging areas Communicate material shortages, discrepancies, or special handling needs to appropriate team members Service RMA Receive stock for RMA's and sort for service stock or allocate for specific work orders Update Microsoft Dynamics WO's to update stock status of item Communicate with relevant service personnel when an item doesn't have appropriate markings for sorting/labeling Process RMA's material needs in in Microsoft Dynamics and prepare for pick up for package carrier Maintain accurate and timely records as per SOPs.
Inventory Management:
Maintain base inventory levels of commonly used stock Restock materials and assist in maintaining a wide variety of installation kits Monitor and adjust base inventory numbers using our inventory system Work with facilities management to identify stock locations and warehouse layouts Execute e-fill requests to vendors Keep inventory shelves organized and labeled Communicate purchase orders and specialist requests to local purchaser Shipping & Receiving Receive inbound shipments and notify relevant teams upon arrival Stage and store materials in designated locations Assist with outbound shipments, returns, and interbranch transfers per SOPs Support accurate receiving documentation and inventory updates Receive stock systematically through our inventory software Facility Support & Upkeep Support general facility cleanliness, organization, and upkeep Assist with basic facility maintenance tasks such as painting, light repairs, grounds care, snow removal, and workspace setup Safely operate hand and power tools for routine support tasks Assist with upkeep of shop tools and light equipment Support Facilities Manager with assigned tasks Interdepartmental & Operational Support Support other internal teams as needed, which may include: Fleet support (vehicle movement, coordination, basic transport) Equipment staging and movement Office and workspace setup Event set up and take down Opportunities for specialization may vary by branch and individual skill set Heavy equipment operations Small engine repair Operating a Class 6, 24-foot flatbed truck for job site deliveries and inter-shop transfers. Qualifications & Requirements Required Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work for extended periods Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions Clear verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license and clean driving record Basic familiarity with digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Excel) Preferred / Trainable Forklift or material handling equipment experience (training provided) Box truck or trailer driving experience Comfort using hand and power tools Warehouse, facilities, or construction adjacent experience Heavy equipment operation Interest in renewable energy technologies Role Flexibility Statement Responsibilities for this role vary by branch location based on facility size, staffing model, and operational needs.
