Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support the daily storage, handling, and distribution of products and equipment used in poultry facility services. This role plays an important part in maintaining efficient operations by ensuring inventory accuracy, organizing warehouse materials, and preparing equipment and supplies for field crews.
Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming shipments of chemicals and equipment. Prepare and stage chemical products and supplies for applicator crews based on job schedules. Load and unload trucks using appropriate lifting techniques or equipment (e.g., pallet jacks or forklifts). Maintain accurate inventory records through manual counts and digital tracking systems. Monitor storage conditions to ensure chemicals are stored in accordance with safety and regulatory standards (e.g., segregation, containment, labeling). Perform routine warehouse housekeeping to maintain cleanliness and compliance. Assist in basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment returning from the field. Ensure all chemicals are labeled, organized, and rotated using FIFO (first-in, first-out) practices. Support safe handling and disposal of empty chemical containers in compliance with environmental guidelines. Collaborate with applicator teams and supervisors to ensure timely order fulfillment and dispatching of supplies. Operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment safely (training provided if not certified). Report low stock levels, damages, or discrepancies to management promptly. Follow all company safety procedures, including the use of PPE when handling chemicals. Participate in safety meetings, training, and inspections as required. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, or agricultural support roles preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow safety protocols and handling instructions, especially for hazardous materials. Familiarity with inventory management practices (manual or system-based). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks in warehouse and outdoor environments. Must possess a valid forklift certification or be willing and able to obtain certification upon request. Good communication skills and teamwork mindset. Valid driver's license preferred (for equipment transport or deliveries, if needed) Must pass drug screening as required. Must be legally eligible to work in the
United Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
The job requires working in a warehouse environment, which may involve exposure to chemicals, fumes, and loud noises. Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, such as equipment components and chemical containers, weighing up to 50 pounds or more. The ability to perform physical tasks consistently throughout the shift is essential. Must have the agility and flexibility to move around the warehouse, including climbing stairs, ladders, and platforms as needed. The job may require working in confined spaces and awkward positions to access equipment and perform tasks. Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate machinery and handle small tools and equipment with precision. This includes turning valves, adjusting controls, and performing maintenance tasks. Must have the physical endurance to stand for lengthy periods, sometimes in hot or uncomfortable conditions. The job may involve repetitive tasks and continuous movement throughout the shift. Must be in good physical health with no medical conditions that would prevent the safe performance of job duties. This includes the ability to withstand exposure to chemicals, fumes, and other potentially hazardous substances with proper personal protective equipment, including but not limited to masks or respirators. Must have adequate vision and hearing to detect equipment malfunctions, read gauges and displays, and communicate effectively with team members. Corrective eyewear and hearing protection may be required in certain areas of the warehouse. Must maintain a constant awareness of safety hazards and follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Must be able to adapt to changing environmental conditions, including temperature fluctuations, humidity, and noise levels, while maintaining focus and attention to detail.
