Job Description

Job Title:
Warehouse Associate Job Overview:
Country Casual Teak, a premium outdoor teak furniture retailer, is looking for a Warehouse Associate for our warehouse in Gaithersburg. This is a hands-on, flexible role that supports a variety of warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on tasks while remaining willing to support other warehouse functions as needed in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Cushion and Fabric Production Measure, cut, and prepare fabric for cushions and pillows according to specifications Stuff foam and materials into cushions and pillows with consistency and quality Inspect finished cushions for accuracy, appearance, and quality standards Maintain clean and organized cutting and production areas
Shipping and Receiving:
Prepare orders for shipment, including pulling products, boxing, labeling, and palletizing Receive and inspect incoming shipments; assist with unloading and stocking
Furniture Assembly and Kit Preparation:
Assemble furniture and kits using hand and power tools Verify components and ensure quality workmanship
Cleaning, Sanding, Painting, and Finishing:
Clean, sand, paint, or finish furniture and components as needed Follow safety protocols and company standards
Inventory Support:
Assist with cycle counts and inventory organization Help restock supplies and materials Equipment Operation (if trained): Operate pallet jacks, dollies, and forklifts to move materials safely
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly Stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods Comfort working in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature changes Manual dexterity for cutting, handling fabric, and working with tools
Qualifications:
Previous warehouse or general labor experience preferred Experience with fabric cutting, sewing, or upholstery is a plus Strong attention to detail and consistency in repetitive tasks Positive attitude and willingness to help across departments Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn and take on a variety of responsibilities
