Job Description

Position Summary Linekin Bay Resort is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Dockhand to join our waterfront team. This position plays an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable guest experience on and around the water. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, operating small boats safely, assisting guests with waterfront activities, and maintaining a professional and friendly attitude throughout the season. Key Responsibilities Safely operate resort boats for guest transportation and waterfront support Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures for paddle sports and waterfront equipment Ensure guest safety both on and off the water by enforcing waterfront rules and providing clear instructions Launch, receive, and assist guests boarding and disembarking from boats Safely secure and tie up boats at docks and moorings Monitor waterfront activity and maintain a clean, organized, and safe dock area Inspect boats, docks, and paddle sport equipment for cleanliness and operational readiness Provide excellent customer service and assist guests with questions regarding waterfront activities Communicate effectively with other resort departments to support daily operations Respond appropriately and calmly in emergency situations Assist with general waterfront setup, maintenance, and closing duties as needed Qualifications Previous boating, dockhand, marina, or waterfront experience preferred Ability to safely operate small boats and work confidently around water Strong understanding of boating and waterfront safety practices Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Excellent communication and guest service skills Ability to lift and carry equipment, paddleboards, kayaks, and dock supplies CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work outdoors for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Comfortable working on docks, boats, and waterfront areas What We Offer Scenic waterfront work environment Supportive team atmosphere Opportunities to develop boating and hospitality experience Linekin Bay Resort is an equal opportunity employer and values teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional guest experiences.
Pay:
$15.10 - $19.00 per hour
