Job Description
Job Summary We are looking for a Warehouse Associate at a local steel supplier company who will be responsible for receiving, organizing, processing, and shipping steel products and materials in a safe and efficient manner. This role supports daily warehouse operations by preparing customer orders, operating material-handling equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. This position is temp-to-hire for the right applicant! Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and unload incoming steel shipments and materials Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders for pickup or delivery Load and secure steel products onto trucks and trailers Verify order accuracy, quantities, dimensions, and product specifications Maintain organized inventory and warehouse storage areas Assist with inventory counts and stock control procedures Follow OSHA and company safety procedures at all times Keep warehouse clean and free of hazards Communicate with sales staff, drivers, and customers regarding orders and deliveries Assist customers with pickups and provide basic product information when needed Qualifications Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or steel industry experience preferred Ability to read work orders, shipping documents, and measuring tools Ability to cut pieces to order and follow safety protocols Basic math and computer skills Strong attention to detail and safety awareness Reliable attendance and teamwork skills Customer service attitude Physical Requirements Position is physically demanding Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in varying warehouse conditions without issue Comfortable working around heavy materials and machinery Submit to a pre-hire drug screening Preferred Skills Experience with steel, metal, or industrial materials Knowledge of steel sizes, grades, and warehouse processes Experience using inventory management software or scanners Schedule Monday through Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM For more information, please give us a call at 207-474-5900. @WORK is an Equal Opportunity Employer & a
