Work Schedule First Shift (Days) Environmental Conditions Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cold Room/Freezers -22degreesF/-6degrees C, Fluctuating Temps hot/cold, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), Various outside weather conditions, Warehouse, Will work with hazardous/toxic materials

Detroit, Michigan/ Biologicals and Chemicals Division How Will You Make an Impact?: The Material Handler will perform shipping and receiving operations to support the site with the production of animal-based peptones. Responsible for verifying the accuracy of incoming materials, checking for damages, and ensuring proper documentation. Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, or delivery trucks. Responsible for efficiently arranging materials in designated storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and inventory management to facilitate easy retrieval. Assemble, deduct and deliver items for requisition and shop orders. Prepare shipping documents, label packages, and coordinate with carriers or logistics providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials. Maintain a safe and clean work environment: Adhere to safety protocols, organize work areas, and report any hazards or incidents to supervisors.Collaborate with team members:
Work closely with other warehouse personnel, such as supervisors, forklift operators, and shipping/receiving clerks, to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow. Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.Education:

Experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related field preferred.Preferred:
