Job Description

Position Summary:
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for accurately, efficiently, and safely performing duties required to produce our coffee and tea products as well as preparing, packaging, and delivering orders for Uncommon Coffee Roasters retail and wholesale customers. This role is a blend of warehouse, production, and delivery, participating in every aspect of ensuring our products are packaged to meet quality standards including but not limited to café related wholesale items and service parts.
Core Accountabilities:
Supports daily workflow of warehouse, production and delivery operations to ensure compliance with methods, quality standards, safety regulations, production standards and efficient operation of equipment. Helps fulfill customer orders by accurately and efficiently identifying and packaging products. Keeps production work areas clean and organized, and completes daily housekeeping duties to ensure compliance with HACCP and SQF (Safe Quality Food) Certifications. Prepares finished products for shipping, pick-up and stages final product for delivery or shipment to retail and wholesale customers. Performs quality control checks on all shipping, pick-up, and staging processes to ensure accuracy and quality standards are being met. Ensures accurate creation of labels for UPS shipments. Loads, plans and completes delivery to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt, or picks up of product in a timely, safe, and quality manner as needed. Provides friendly and respectful customer service to co-workers, vendors, and customers. Delivers and stores shelve inventory at establishments as requested. Ensures delivery vehicles receive basic maintenance service,maintains vehicles cleanliness and communicates larger service needs to the Manager. Communicates all issues, comments, and concerns from customers to Customer Support Specialist, Sales and/or Warehouse Manager. Serves as back up to the customer support specialist, interacting with customers via telephone, email, online chat, or in person to process orders and provide support for all UCR products and services. Other duties as required to advance the mission of the organization.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Warehouse, coffee production, delivery or retail experience preferred. Customer service experience preferred.
Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work to be able to drive to customers. Ability to drive safely and use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps. Ability to plan delivery routes and maintain basic logs and records. Ability to perform basic math and to accurately read roasting profiles. Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Suite including Illustrator or similar software.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
