Location:
Flint, MI 48507 Overview Join our growing team as a Powder Coating Technician / General Laborer and play a key role in producing high-quality finished metal products for customers in a wide range of industries. This position is hands-on and fast-paced, involving part preparation, racking, powder coating support, quality inspection. and packaging. We are looking for dependable, motivated individuals who take pride in their work, work safely, and are willing to learn and grow in a manufacturing environment. Experience is helpful, but a strong work ethic and positive attitude are just as important. Responsibilities
  • Rack and un-rack metal parts safely and efficiently for the powder coating process.
  • Prepare parts for coating by cleaning, pretreating, masking, plugging, and inspecting surfaces.
  • Operate pretreatment equipment and follow cleaning procedures to ensure proper coating adhesion.
  • Package finished products using banding equipment, wrapping materials, and protective dunnage.
  • Operate basic hand tools and power tools to support production.
  • Perform visual quality inspections for coating coverage, finish quality, and defects.
  • Measure coating thickness using inspection equipment when required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the facility.
  • Work as part of a team to meet daily production schedules and customer deadlines.
  • Adapt quickly to changing production priorities in a fast-paced batch manufacturing environment. Qualifications
  • Previous experience in powder coating, industrial painting, manufacturing, fabrication, automotive refinishing, or general labor is preferred but not required.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, forklifts, or material handling equipment is considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic are essential.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding industrial environment.
  • Must be able to regularly lift 55+ lbs throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, twist, and move throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when production demands require it. What We Offer
