The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, and order fulfillment. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse processes and the ability to operate various equipment safely and effectively. Responsibilities Manage inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies. Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes for loading and unloading goods. Perform picking and packing duties to prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment. Conduct regular inspections of warehouse equipment to maintain safety standards in compliance with OSHA regulations. Assist with stocking shelves and organizing products within the warehouse for optimal space utilization. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to streamline operations and improve efficiency in distribution processes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote a safe working environment. Experience Previous experience in shipping is preferred, with familiarity in inventory management and distribution processes. Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, or order pickers is highly desirable. Knowledge of warehouse management systems and RF scanners for inventory tracking is beneficial. Experience with materials handling, packaging, shipping & receiving, and order picking is essential. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and maintenance is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role while adhering to safety protocols.
