Essential Functions:
Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by wearing appropriate safety equipment (i.e., glasses, steel-toed shoes, ear plugs, etc.), following safe work practices and operating equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies and procedures. Operate a sit-down forklift. May operate pallet jack or other powered industrial truck. Responsible for keeping the flow of product going through all workstations including loading and unloading, and stocking raw material lines. Keep all areas of Processing department loaded and stocked to avoid downtime at workstations. Perform daily inspection checklist on Forklift. Operate weigh scale as needed. Assemble and maintain a minimum of 20 large octagon boxes. Ensure all containers are properly tagged. Follow "Tagging Work Instruction". Must have the ability to work in high pressure environment. May load and unload trucks. Ensure that weight is evenly distributed on trailers when loading trucks. Report any foreseen shortages of supplies to the Finishing Lead.
ie:
skids, lob's, vci bags, etc. Required to go outside in inclement weather to retrieve customer containers and or supplies. Ensure containers are clean, free of trash, and are dry prior to use. Maintain a clean work environment Experience Required Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Education, Training & Skills Teamwork:
Ability to recognize the behaviors or actions that best supports the team and contributes to work performance when faced with work situations involving several problems or issues to be handled.
Observation:
Ability to pay attention to and remember a work procedure with some details that are hard to notice.
Locating Information:
Ability to read straightforward workplace graphics, such as basic order forms, diagrams, line graphs, tables, flowcharts, instrument gauges, and maps. Ability to find several pieces of information in these types of graphics, summarizes and/or compares information in one or more graphics, and understands how graphics are related to each other. Ability to read basic company policies, procedures and announcements.
