Roofing / Construction / General Laborer - KP

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Inspect incoming pallets to identify damage, defects, and areas in need of repair  Use power tools to repair damaged pallets. Replace broken or missing components, reinforce weak areas, and make necessary adjustments to restore pallets to usable condition  Ensure that repaired pallets meet quality standards and comply with customer specifications  Work efficiently to meet production quotas and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards  Turn in piecework sheets or other required paperwork daily to supervisor  Maintain a clean and organized work area  Be responsible for all personal tools (hammers, crowbar, wedge gun, etc.) and Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, gloves, etc.)  Follow safety protocols and procedures while operating equipment and handling materials to prevent accidents and injuries. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety guidelines at all times  Know and observe rules of conduct at all times  Complete additional duties that are specific to your plant, as directed by your supervisor (for example; saving reusable deck boards, spraying out heat treat stamps, etc.)  Other duties as assigned by Plant Management This list of duties is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that senior management may deem necessary.

Qualifications/Skills:

 Previous experience in pallet repair, carpentry, woodworking, or a related field is preferred but not required. On-the-job training may be provided for candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn  Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and maneuvering heavy materials (up to 75 pounds) and standing for extended periods  Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment  Commitment to following safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment  Able to work in various weather conditions

Pay:

$17.00 per hour
