Material Handler InnerSpace Marne, MI Job Details Full-time 17 hours ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Safety protocol adherence Moving Forklift High school diploma or GED Materials handling Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description The Metal Shop Material Handler is an integral member of the metal shop team that supports production and distribution of products ensuring that each work center is supplied with the appropriate work when needed. The Metal Shop Material Handler reports directly to the Materials Manager but is tied closely to the Zone Leaders in the Metal Shop. Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities Have a high-level knowledge and understanding of the daily schedule for each of the Metal Shop work centers. Loading and changing over the sheet steel materials at the lasers. Moving cut and bent components to appropriate downstream work centers as needed. Move painted finished goods from the end of the paint line to the warehouse staging area. Emptying of steel scrap dumpsters as needed. Unloading of trucks received in the metal shop docks. Loading of steel sheet cartridges onto supplier return truck. Additional tasks as required by Metal Shop Zone Leaders and Materials Manager. Critical Skills & Knowledge Technical/analytical focus Strong communication skills Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. Ability to be flexible and able to adapt to changing needs and priorities of the metal shop team. Ability to think and plan multiple steps ahead of current tasks. High attention to detail. Operate with a sense of urgency. Ability to understand and follow safety procedures. Exceptional attendance record Minimum Qualifications Highschool diploma or equivalent 1+ years of Material Handling experience Previous Forklift experience Physical Demands Physical ability to lift 50 pounds
