Job Description

Glastender Inc. is a family-owned manufacturer of commercial bar and restaurant equipment, known for its high-quality products and innovative solutions. We are currently accepting resumes for a Supply Chain Assistant on first shift (8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and may vary at times). What You'll Do Supply Chain Assistant will safely and efficiently support shipping, receiving, warehouse, and logistics operations in accordance with established work instructions and company standards, while maintaining high levels of quality, accuracy, productivity, and teamwork. This role serves as a back-up for Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse personnel by assisting with inventory control, order fulfillment, customer communication, transportation scheduling, and overall supply chain activities. New employees are supported through a well-established, comprehensive training and onboarding program to ensure consistency, quality, and safety. Key Responsibilities Follow all plant and warehouse safety procedures and maintain required safety training. Assist with receiving, inspecting, labeling, and storing inbound materials with a high level of accuracy. Perform inventory transactions, bin transfers, and maintain organized storage locations. Prepare, inspect, and coordinate outbound shipments, including shipping documentation and carrier scheduling. Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. Track shipments, assist with freight claims and returns, and communicate shipping updates to customers. Cross-train in shipping, receiving, warehouse, and logistics functions to support operational flexibility. Pick up materials from local suppliers using company vehicles and deliver them to appropriate departments. Participate in team meetings, support continuous improvement efforts, and assist other departments as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area utilizing 5S principles.
Qualifications Education:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience:
One to three years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or related experience preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to follow work instructions, shipping documents, and inventory procedures accurately. Basic computer, data-entry, and math skills. Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment.
