Arnold Transit Company, the largest ferry service connecting passengers to picturesque Mackinac Island, is seeking passionate Dock Hands to join our team working on our Docks! As a Dock Hand with Arnold Transit Company, you'll support the dock and ferry schedule to run smoothly. You'll tag luggage, assist with bikes and pets, and ensure passengers embark and disembark safely. If you enjoy working by the water and being part of a dynamic TEAM, this is the job for you! Based in the stunning Northern Michigan, you'll enjoy daily views of breathtaking shorelines of the Great Lakes, both Lake Huron and Lake Michigan as well as the Mackinac Bridge. Greet customers, answer questions and anticipate their needs. Safely load and unload passengers, luggage, and bicycles Participate and apply procedural and safety training. Scan and collect tickets as customers board. Inform and ensure safe behaviors by all passengers. Maintain company standards of appearance and cleanliness. Qualifications Must be at least 16 years of age. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, pull and lift items up to 65 pounds. Available to work at peak tourist times including nights, weekends & holidays.
